Rhythm of the Day
Our daily rhythm at Yandell Kindergarten flows gently, supported by verses, songs, and blessings that give thanks for the gifts of nature. This predictable yet nourishing structure helps children feel secure, balanced, and grounded in their day.
The daily program includes:
- Arrival & Indoor Play
Children settle into the morning with free play in our warm, welcoming environment. - Morning Activity
Activities vary slightly across the terms to reflect the seasons and the children’s growing capacities:- Terms 1 & 2 – Bread making, drawing, or festival preparation
- Term 3 – Wet-on-wet painting or festival preparation
- Term 4 – Bread making, drawing, or festival preparation
- Tidy Playroom
Children help return the space to order with care and intention. - Circle Time
A joyful time of finger plays, songs, movement, and imitation. Birthday celebrations are woven into this time when appropriate. - Morning Tea
We share freshly made bread and seasonal fruit after washing our hands together. - Outdoor Play
Time in nature allows for free exploration, movement, and connection with the elements. - Tidy Up Outdoors
We work together to care for our environment. - Story Time
A quiet, calming story brings the morning to a gentle close. - Home Time
Children leave nourished in body and spirit, ready for rest or the next part of their day.

Yandell Kindergarten has opted into the Free Kindergarten initiative.

- Three-Year-Old Program (Funded Sessional Kindergarten, up to 15 hours/week):
No parent fee - Slippers: $45 per pair
- Deposit: $300
(This payment holds a place for your child and will be refunded upon commencement of Term 1)
