Committee of Management

Yandell Kindergarten is a non-profit incorporated association administered by the Yandell Kindergarten Parents' Committee. The Committee consists of a dedicated team of volunteer kindergarten parents who perform roles that are essential in the day-to-day functioning of our kindergarten. Although our teachers cannot hold formal roles on the Committee, they are an important part of the management of the kinder. Committee responsibilities include:
  • Employment, management and support of teachers and staff
  • Financial management, including fundraising
  • Ensuring the kinder is maintained and operates in accordance with the relevant regulations and standards of a kindergarten centre.
Some specialist jobs at our kindergarten are outsourced including payroll and bookkeeping.

Joining the committee gives you the opportunity to meet other parents and to have a say in how the kindergarten is managed.

Prior to each Annual General Meeting (AGM), Committee members vacate their positions, leaving them open for nomination. All parents are invited and encouraged to nominate for any position. Our AGM is held in Term 4 each year. Committee positions and descriptions will be distributed to families prior to the AGM.
