Yandell Kindergarten believes in real involvement from parents and carers. Experts have found that the more parents are involved in their child’s kinder years and schooling in general, the better the child’s performance will be. There are many ways in which parents can participate no matter how busy life may be!
A regular kinder duty roster is drawn up for each term so parents can assist the teachers with the routines and running of the sessions. It’s a great time to see your child in action and admire their developing skills.
Joining the parents' committee is another great way to help our kindergarten. We wouldn't be here without this dedicated team of parents running the kinder from behind the scenes. The committee is a great place to get involved in the kinder, understand how it runs and most importantly - make new friends and social contacts.
Participating in quarterly working bees is important as we are keen to maintain the beautiful garden setting so important to the feel of the kindergarten. Your attendance at working bees helps in this regard.
Fundraising ventures are a vital part of the kindergarten’s activities and social functions offer a great way for the parents and children to come together as a community and form real friendships.
