Parent Committee at Yandell KindergartenYandell Kindergarten is a community-run, not-for-profit incorporated association. It is administered by the Yandell Kindergarten Parents’ Committee—a passionate group of parent volunteers who play a vital role in the successful running of our kinder.
The committee is more than just a support network—it’s the engine behind Yandell’s day-to-day operations. From managing staff and overseeing finances to supporting fundraising efforts and maintaining our beautiful kindergarten environment, the committee ensures everything runs smoothly.
While our educators focus on nurturing and teaching the children, it is the parents who keep the kinder running behind the scenes. Your involvement really matters.

Committee Responsibilities Include:
Getting InvolvedEach year at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Term 4, all committee positions are vacated and open for nomination. Families will receive role descriptions and nomination forms in advance—and we encourage all parents to consider putting their hand up, whether for a general or executive role.

- Supporting and overseeing the employment and wellbeing of staff
- Managing kinder finances, including fundraising and budgeting
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations
- Maintaining the kinder grounds and operations
(Note: Some specialist roles, like payroll and bookkeeping, are professionally outsourced)
